Virgil Abloh's 'Louis Vuitton' Nike Air Force 1s

On January 27th Sotheby's has 'The One' auction so we picked one of the hottest items in the collection, something that crosses all cultures.

The Nike Air Force 1, was designed in 1982 by Bruce Kilgore. Virgil Abloh fused the Kilgore's classic codes of the Air Force 1 with Louis Vuitton insignia and materials in honor of hip-hop culture for the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring-Summer 2022 runway show, celebrating the 40th anniversary of this iconic shoe.

200 pairs of exclusive, leather sneakers in a range of sizes will be available in auction. The sneakers feature Louis Vuitton's Monogram and Damier patterns. Each pair will come with a Louis Vuitton pilot case in iconic orange and made of Monogram Taurillon Leather.

Whisky Files

Two Speyside whisky distilleries, Macallan and Glenfarclas, have recently released new expressions that are sure to attract whisky connoisseurs and collectors. The Macallan, known for its sherry cask maturation, has launched a 52-year-old expression that has undergone a long initial maturation period in a bourbon barrel. The SRP for this highly sought-after bottle is £75,000 (about $90,500).

On the other hand, Glenfarclas, which recently won Distiller of the Year at the 2023 Icons of Whisky Awards, has released a limited edition 50-year-old single malt to celebrate chairman John Grant's five decades in the whisky industry. This expression is limited and comes in a Glencairn Crystal decanter encased in a presentation box with an SRP of £9,000 ($10,800).

Glenfarclas may not carry the same weight of brand as The Macallan, but from personal experience of tasting their 25-year-old single malt, it is likely to be just as good, if not better.

Life on the water

As the winter season in the USA comes to a close, the Mediterranean yachting season is set to begin in early spring. While some yachts will be in the yard for maintenance, others will be making their way across the ocean. While it may be too early to think about lounging on a yacht deck in Monaco, it's the perfect time to consider the smaller watercraft options.

The Fliteboard eFoil (electric hydrofoil) is a great option for those who want to spend hours on the water, with a battery life of 1.5-2.5 hours between charges. With a range of models and customization options, including the brilliant black carbonfiber PRO model with a jet fan, it's definitely worth considering for your next water adventure.

Formula One

With the F1 racing season on cold storage for another month and we're starting to see things we thought we would get you all up to speed with 2023. We will start with the drivers. So in the F1 game of thrones who is where?

RED BULL RACING - Max Verstappen - Sergio Perez

FERRARI - Charles Leclerc - Carlos Sainz

MERCEDES - Lewis Hamilton - George Russell

ALPINE - Esteban Ocon - Pierre Gasly

MCLAREN - Lando Norris - Oscar Piastri

ALFA ROMEO - Valtteri Bottas & Zhou Guanyu

ASTON MARTIN - Lance Stroll - Fernando Alonso

HAAS - Kevin Magnussen - Nico Hulkenberg

ALPHATAURI - Yuki Tsunoda - Nyck de Vries

WILLIAMS - Alex Albon - Logan Sargeant

2023 has three fresh faces in Piastri, Nyck de Vries & Logan Sargeant and the return of the Hulk (that should be a film title). I'm hoping that Piastri lives up to the hype.

Who is out of contract at the end of 2023 first on the list is Hamilton, though this may change in a matters of days and weeks. Stroll is another driver out of contract at the end of this year, but it is hard to see him being ejected whilst his father is in charge. Both AlphaTauri Tsunoda & de Vries are out of contract and also Alfa's Guanyu. Hulkenberg's new 2023 contract has an option to extend for 2024 in case it goes well.

So that's it, roll on the 5th of March 2023...Wait a minute, there is another game of thrones playing out in the Team Boss chairs. So many moving around we thought it worth a mention.

FERRARI - Binotto out, Vasseur moves from Alfa.

MCLAREN - Andreas Seidl out, internal promotion for Andrea Stella.

ALFA ROMEO - Vasseur out, Team principle TBC, Andreas Seidl Chief Executive.

WILLIAMS - Jost Capito out, James Vowles takes over.

So that really is it, 65days since last race and 39 days to go until the next.
